Krautkopf | Feuerring

Since 2022, the Feuerring Luna 50 has been enriching our garden — a sculpture that combines form, function, and atmosphere. Its magic lies in its reduction: wood, embers, and a few good ingredients are all it takes to create great flavors. KRAUTKOPF | FEUERRING is dedicated to this idea. It is a book about cooking in the circle of fire, about simplicity, aesthetics, and enjoying the moment. A collection of recipes and images around the Feuerring.

Just as a delicious dish thrives on each carefully selected ingredient, this book has become something extraordinary thanks to the collaboration of all those involved. Beate and Andreas from Feuerring have brought together people who share their vision with passion and dedication. We are grateful to be part of this special project with our photos and recipes.

The simple cardboard cover of the book was refined by screen printing by Lorenz Boegli — a master of his craft, pioneer, and innovator in contemporary screen printing. He also printed gold across the entire front and back endpapers, lending the book a subtle elegance. The pages are printed on Lessebo Rough White, a premium uncoated design paper from a small, owner-operated paper mill in southern Sweden. Its natural, matte surface gives the book a special feel and depth. To ensure that our photographs also shine on this paper, lithographer Georg Siedler and the Odermatt printing company provided an exceptional realization. The frequency-modulated screen in offset printing resulted in a detailed, photorealistic reproduction that preserves even the finest nuances.

The book block was bound by the Bubu bookbindery as a stiff brochure with thread stitching and a open spine — a handcrafted binding that combines stability with a clear aesthetics. We created the basic layout; typography, fine layout, and composition were developed by Büro Nord.

With its special materials, 48 recipes, and over 200 photographs, this culinary coffee-table book invites you to discover, linger, and be inspired with all your senses.
