It is fascinating how much light influences our view of the garden and its plants. At any time of the day, there are areas in the garden that only reveal their full magic at exactly the right moment, which is sometimes very brief. Flowers that are otherwise rather hidden, such as those of the nettle king, suddenly become the main actors on the scene thanks to this one tiny ray of light fighting its way through the canopy of leaves or needles. Particularly impressive is the warm and deep morning or evening sun on the horizon, which illuminates everything like stage lighting. The transience is ever-present.

But alongside these loud moments, there are also quiet ones, hidden in the shadows. The shadow has its own unique aesthetic, a subtle beauty that does not impose itself, but rather has an effect through calmness and depth — if you look closely.
