SEp 2025

September is one of our favorite months, and not just because of its diverse moods. Warm summer days alternate with foggy, wet, and cool weather. This transition between two seasons is also evident in the vegetable garden.

The rhythm of the garden now sets the pace in our kitchen. Some produce is used fresh, while other items are stored in jars, boxes, or on shelves. Now is the time for preserving – because the garden yields more than we can consume immediately. As the beds gradually empty, our pantry fills with ferments, jams, dried goods, and stored items, providing us with food for the coming weeks and months.
