The market booths are filled with tomatoes, eggplants, zucchini, peas, green and broad beans, lettuce, chard, cucumber, carrots, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, snow peas, fennel, kohlrabi, corn, leek, garlic, early season potatoes, mushrooms and don’t forget about fresh fruit and berries. Apples, pears, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, red currants, cherries, plums, mirabelles, melons, peaches, apricots and nectarines bring sweet pleasure.
So far, the construction of our kitchen garden has required a lot of strength and attention. After the basic structure is in place, we can move on to other areas of the property. With blooming meadows, perennial beds and wild fruit hedges we want to let our garden bloom.
